A van, down by the river...

Goodness gracious it's been awhile!
Photobucket
If it wasn't for some scheduled sponsor feature posts that I scheduled to post weeks ago I might not have had a post in weeks! That's not like me at all.
There has definitely been some exciting things going on here at the O'Banion house.
1: it rained for like 2 weeks straight and lots of people in our area have suffered from flooding.
2. I got down to 121.6 on the scale! Woot Woot!
3. Landen got a random phone call from someone with some news we are praying about really hard (more on that later.)
and 4.
WE ENTERED INTO CONTRACT ON OUR HOUSE!
Yes, we are selling our home. Pending inspection of course. The last week and a half has consisted of nightly visits with our realtor to negotiate a selling price, and days of Landen sweating his heart out trying to get the place ready for the inspection. We still have a lot of work to do but the end is in sight.

I however, am an emotional wreck.
For one: this was first home and so of course it has sentimental attachments.
2. This was Abbey's first home too.
3. Landen, both of our dads, and his late grandpa built our deck. I want to take it with me.
4. I laid the tile in the kitchen.
and 5.
We have no place to go.
Well that's technically not true. We do have the option of living in a van down by the river. ..oh wait...I mean in a camper down by the pond at his parents, for a few months but I just can't get excited about the idea.
Landen is all for it...the whole saving money bit works great for him.
I on the other hand want a house. Something to live in. And it is the perfect timing because I would be off all summer to make it all homey like.
The only down side is that I also will not have a job after May 31st, so...it restricts our budget a little. I NEED A JOB! AN OFFICIAL TEACHING JOB, IN A CLASSROOM, WITH KIDS, AND MY NAME ON THE DOOR. (Thanks for listening).

So anyway, that's where we've been. I can't promise that I will be posting as often the next few weeks but I will try and keep you updated. It's a, hectic, time in our life. But I am excited about it...minus the whole van down by the river part. :S

  1. It sounds like an adventure though...

Congrats on all the changes, and the 121.6! (I wish!)

    Have a great weekend!
