30 Days of Thanks: Day #8-The right to vote

Photobucket
Today is election day,
and all over this great country people will be lining up at the polls to cast their votes.
In each state we all have different issues on the ballot, and we all feel different ways about different things,
but one thing is constant.
We have a right that other people would kill for.
In fact, people are killed for this right everyday.
We have the right to choose
and the right to be free.
And today, on election day, I am very thankful that I live in a country where I can freely exercise my rights!

  1. That is something to be thankful for. Sometimes voting cam be so discouraging because it always feels so black and white-so two party system. But at least we have some kind of say in it.

  2. Secret ... I have never voted! I don't know anything about voting - it was never something my parents did either.

But I know that I am glad/thankful that I have the right to.
